The calenda earrings are hand-crafted from the bark of the gourd (the round fruit of the tecomate tree) by artisans from Pinotepa de Don Luis, a Mixtec community on the Oaxacan coast. They are woven with rustic cotton thread from Teotitlán del Valle, Oaxaca. Their rustic design and color evoke the renowned Oaxacan festival, the calenda.
Inspired by Latin folklore, our pieces reflect their Oaxacan roots, which embrace ancestral textiles and craftsmanship to offer sustainable jewelry that preserves artisanal heritage.
