ART_ WHO IS ENRIQUE ARNAUD BLUM?

Enrique Arnaud Blum “works with the freedom of naive art in prints where space is not concealed and everything is focused on characters: flattened, cat-like, pugnacious. A spontaneous and caricature-like creation, with thick lines that highlight the contours, whose strength lies not in the figure itself but in its disfigurement, in the expression of moods. Arnaud reduces the form until he finds its root: nocturnal faces parade by, and cats immersed in nostalgia, and skulls in the midst of life, and a complete apology for leisure, all advancing forward, fixing their gaze on the viewer.” - Text by Angel Morales.

Enrique Arnaud Blum, a storyteller, poet, and visual artist who enjoys creating fantastical universes using cats as central characters: themes related to personality complexes, satire, feline adventures, funny scenes, and some even somewhat dark ones are part of his work. His most common techniques are lithography and watercolor.
